Why A Place to Grow Preschool?

Welcome to A Place to Grow! Our Child Development Center has been in operation since 1995. Our center is a year-round, family oriented and Academic based program. Here at A Place to Grow our nurturing staff prioritizes the safety, well-being and the whole-child development and education of your child. Our curriculum addresses all the Developmental Domains and stages of Early Childhood.

We have 4 appropriately designed classrooms for 2,3,4, 5 year old’s and 6 years old entry to first grade.

• The Caterpillar room is our 2 years old classroom. Here we focus on helping your child feel welcomed, cared for, safe and socially & emotionally adjusted to his/her new environment. Gradually we work with our little ones on basic skills such as the Alphabet, numbers, colors, shapes, holding a pencil, tracing and sitting down for Circle time.
• The Chrysalis room is our 3 to 4 years old classroom. Here we work on reinforcing the skills learned in the previous level and we gradually introduce cognitive activities, art, writing, and pre-math skills such as counting and the concept of addition.
• The Butterfly room is our 4  years old classroom. Here we work on reinforcing the skills learned in the previous level and we gradually work on more complex art and science projects, we also work on writing and sounds, basic additions and subtractions.
• The Dragonfly room is our 4 ½ to 6 years old Pre-k classroom. Here we work on reinforcing the skills learned in the previous level and we gradually work on more challenging and advanced academic activities such as Literacy, Grammar, Phonics, Math, Geometry, Geography, Science, Critical Thinking, Writing, Reading, Clock, and Performance Arts.

The main goal of A Place to Grow is to help our students form a strong Academic and Social-Emotional foundation so they can be successful in kindergarten and beyond.
